James Morrison will be answering questions about his new book, The Workless, at an upcoming free online Q&A event hosted by Nottingham Trent University’s Research Centre for History, Heritage and Memory Studies. The event is the latest in a series of public-facing ‘history and policy’ seminars with a thematic focus throughout 2026 on the contested subject of ‘welfare reform’. The seminar takes place on Tuesday 29 September between 5pm and 6.30pm BST, and tickets can be booked via the following Eventbrite link.
