Between icebreakers and penguins, we were present with a poster at the AHRC-DFG-funded “UK-German Arts and Humanities Bilateral Celebration Event” at the British Arctic Survey in Cambridge on 7-8 May. We heard exciting presentations from other AHRC/DFG-funded projects and had intensive discussions about the benefits of bilateral programmes such as the one offered by the AHRC/DFG.
We also met colleagues from different disciplines in the humanities who gave us valuable advice, for example on possible contacts for our storytelling cafés in Teesside. The event was a great success and we thank the organisers for giving us the opportunity to attend.
