The German VOICES team has reached an important milestone: with the final focus group in Weißwasser on 27 May 2026, the WP2 fieldwork phase is officially wrapped up!
The numbers speak for themselves: a total of 155 individuals made the WP2 fieldwork possible through their engagement – across 17 storytelling cafés with 92 participants, semi-structured interviews with 37 residents, and 10 focus groups with 56 participants from Eisenhüttenstadt, Lauchhammer and Weißwasser. Some even joined us more than once.
A huge thank you to everyone who shared their time, their thoughts, and their personal stories with us. Your contributions are at the heart of this project.
Now the next phase begins: analysing the data we’ve collected. Thousands of transcripts are waiting to be explored.
