Call for Participation: Share Your Story!
We warmly invite the residents of Eisenhüttenstadt to take part in our research project. We are looking for individuals born before 1970 who experienced the process of deindustrialization in the region and are willing to share their personal stories. How has the economic transformation in Eisenhüttenstadt since reunification impacted your life and your hometown? What memories, experiences, and events do you associate with this period? How has Eisenhüttenstadt changed for you since then? What hopes or challenges do you face today?
Together, we aim to preserve these experiences in storytelling cafés – open and respectful spaces for sharing personal perspectives. Your stories not only help document an important chapter of the city’s history but also contribute to a deeper understanding of the effects of deindustrialization in the region.
When and Where?
The storytelling cafés, held in a relaxed atmosphere with coffee and cake, will take place in Eisenhüttenstadt. Exact dates and locations will be announced soon.
